Christmas in Kentucky

Well, on December 23rd we headed to Lexington to my sister's for Christmas.

Got to the airport, no long lines, took our bags, had breakfast - boom! On our way!

Landed in CLT, had lunch walked around...

Flight. Cancelled.

Couldn't get us to LEX for at least a day (via Chicago) and we were DONE!

So, we rented the last car availa ble (thank you Lord) and drove...

6 hours ...

in this.

Oddly enough, we missed all of the storms (again, thank you Lord) and made it to my sister's close to 1am.  Pour the wine!!!

Anyway, the next day was much better - we were off for Christmas Eve dinner

after dinner Holt, T, my mom and I headed over to the Smithwicks for the reading of the Christmas story!!

These two reunited once again!!!

the kids loved it, was SO great!!

after reading, the boys played some basketball and Tristan quickly made friends!

We headed home and left our cookies for Santa and carrots for the reindeer

We also have a little light so Santa knows how to find us since we are traveling
(thank you North Pole movie!)

Christmas Day was filled with a lot of relaxing..

and of course, lots of gifts!!

Spoiled!

Gwen knit us all hats.. they are SO fun!  We are the little foxes!

And the nose basketball game of course

silly glasses and lots of treats from Africa (Z and Sol's trip)

I may or may not have given Z this poop game...

and Holt scored some presents too!

Mom and all of her fashion

Dinner (IN JAMMIES of coruse!)

an then we all worked on Z's puzzle for FOUR hours!

the next day it poured rain so Grammy and I took T for some fun at Chuck-E-Cheese!

Then the girls learned to knit and crochet!

That's my first glove!!!

Tristan discovered the selfie stick and had quite a good time!

We ended things with a visit to John and Gingers.  Dinner with friend and the boys played.  This was the first time we met Cash... he is a riot!

T being silly... (of course!)

and thought I would include Aunt Jeanne's gift.  Her neice made this for all of the neices and nephews and included Tristan - SO SWEET!!!

Glad you like it Aunt Jeanne!!!

We had a great Christmas and while I wished my whole family could be there, I was VERY thankful we mde it there AND home...

Merry Christmas!!!!

Vitruvian Park fun

You have to see this place to do it justice....

HUNDREDS of lit trees.  It's beautiful!

I gimped aaaaaall the way from the parking lot (it seemed like 15 miles)

to where the action was!

We ate off the food truck then had cotton candy, listened to live music and T must have rolled down the huge hills 20 times.

~ Mr. Stash, 2015 ~

I love special moments with my boy.  He is FILLED with Christmas spirit and I am so thankful for that.  I hope it last until you are 100 Tristan!

Now, off to RACK some more people!  We've had a blast with that too!!!

Christmas with Aunt Connie

We decorated some cookies (poorly I might add)

then drove around singing Christmas carols and looking at lights!

It's an early TX and NY Christmas today!

We had lunch today with Unkie and Aunt Sue and then went back to Bebah's to get spoiled!

I cannot tell you the sheer excitement about this gun. Couldn't even wait to get home and build it - we had it out and together in the car!!!

Now he's out back shooting things... I can hear the squeals from here!

Then it was time for a NY Christmas.

I let T open his gifts from my family a little early - that way it's not so overwhelming

Aunt Jeanne and Uncle John got him a cool new Nerf gun
(that will complement the gun above rather nicely!)

and a remote control bi-plane!!

Aunt Trisha and Uncle Mike sent this really cool bank.  Teaches to Spend/Save/Share. He was really excited about this.  There are some very cool lessons that they give to help get kids into it but he seemed to be all into it all on his own!

Lastly, this Glowball... I thought it glowed in the dark but it actually HAS lights.  Can't wait to play with it tonight!

Thanks to our families for spoiling this little stinker. I'm thankful for him, he has my heart and he's the joy of my life!  Merry Christmas love many of your Aunts and Uncles!!
